I spent part of my afternoon yesterday photographing this beautiful belly and turned one of the shots into a pregnancy reveal.
Congratulations to this growing family! I am sure their daughter will love having a little brother.
“A recent Gallup Panel poll finds the public roughly divided as to whether or not they would want to know the sex of their baby beforehand. More than 6 in 10 18- to 34-year-old Americans and women under age 50 say they would like to find out the baby’s sex before it is born. A majority of parents with young children would also like to find out before birth. By comparison, most older Americans (aged 50 and older), as well as Catholics and Americans who frequently attend religious services would prefer to be surprised.” (source)
Some parents tell their friends and family with a colored cake, others with an ultrasound image and some with professional photos. Search Pinterest for gender reveal and there is no shortage of pins! We weren’t planning on a gender reveal but once the mom told me she hadn’t made the public (i.e. Facebook) announcement I thought I would include one in her gallery.
For my pregnancies I choose not to because I love the anticipation and the phone calls to friends and family letting them know. Did you find out what you were having before your birth?
For the past 11 years, I have been working to create a full-time, profitable photography…
