Newborn photography isn’t for the faint of heart. Planning and know-how are just part of the recipe, and sometimes the other part- the baby has other plans in mind. This sweet little lady didn’t like being undressed. After a couple unsuccessful attempts (and many nursing breaks) for bare baby images we figured out what she needed to be comfortable (a simple onesie) and went from there. Boom- gorgeous images. Babies want what they want and you can either embrace that or find yourself in a heap on the floor wondering why can’t you pull off the shot you have in mind. This is just one more reason I like photographing newborns in their own home. The session ended up including some studio and a some lifestyle photography that even the dog got to be part of.
