Ever thinking of how you became friends with someone and you just can’t pinpoint an exact moment? That is me with one of my best friends, Angela. I know she bought some eggs from my kids and came over to pick them up, I know we talked in passing at horse riding lessons, but I am just not sure when we both let our guard down and were able to be completely ourselves. Maybe a group knitting session? I am glad we got there. To have people you can be yourself 100%, warts and all, is so valuable.
Being able to photograph her family was so much fun. I normally do my family sessions in my fields in Lyons, but since she lives right down the road, we opted to do it at their house. The first couple minutes it was just me and the kids, alone, no parents telling them not to be goofy. Since I already know theses kiddos pretty well I think I was able to capture them super naturally.
Can’t forget the old lady creeper dog in the window! Love you Sophie.
